2022 amendment cookies arranged over raw Fundy Mud pugs before the final mix. Here adding 2 extra dug clays, one from the NS end of the Bay, the other is Keswick Mud, plus another potters cone 05 and cone 6 recycle scrap for the environment. I’ll add kyanite grog when I pug this into jam buckets for storage. About 500 lbs here, more than I’ll use this season. Some will be given away.

Most all my pottery equipment has gone to a better place through 2025. I’m lately posing as a post-ceramic ascetic, appearing unannounced to play Shakuhachi at the tense moment when horse hair goes on the pot at raku events… retreating silently to make coffee and do dishes. I still have a great interest in primitive practices and processing rock and porcelain experimental bodies, so I’m thinking to build a small cone 10 gas kiln in 2026. I would like to make a good tea bowl. In the meantime, I look at dry grass blowing over the snow a lot.
